BLUETICKR PILOT STUDY
Dear Student
Purpose
This letter is a formal invitation to you and your school mates to participate in our online pilot study. This pilot study will be for educational purposes only, and all the activities will be in line with the objectives and milestones of the CAPS policy document. BlueTickr aims to give learners the added advantage towards their achievement of the National Senior Certificate by providing them with supplementary tools for exam preparations.
With this pilot study, we aim to introduce learners to our mobile application which is a perfect tool that allows teachers and students to work remotely. This is our way of helping teachers to deliver school work to their learners via mobile phones while keeping track of each learner’s needs and academic progress remotely. If your school is registered for the pilot programme, then your teacher will be able to give you homework via our mobile application which can be found on the Google PlayStore.
There is plenty more to do on BlueTickr; the more you practice is the more you stay ahead.
About Us
BlueTickr is a company that provides education technology that helps high school students to improve their academic performance by providing them with the necessary tools and resources for exam preparation. BlueTickr presents a mobile software application that allows teachers to deliver homework and assignments to their students, and it allows them to keep track of their students’ efforts and challenges.
PILOT STUDY DESIGN
BlueTickr will introduce its mobile application to a number of teachers and students who wish to enhance their learning experience during the coronavirus lockdown period and beyond. The participants will register with BlueTickr by downloading the app from Google PlayStore or from our website (www.bluetickr.co.za) for free.
The pilot program will take place online in the comfort of your home; you will only be required to use the app on a daily basis for the duration of the pilot study.
Description of the pilot study
Duration: The pilot study will run for 4 weeks (for a required total of three (3) hours per week – after school hours).
Start Date: 15 June 2020
End Date: 10 July 2020
Activities:
- Questionnaires
- Tests and Challenges
- Homework presented to students by their teacher/guardian
- Analysis of student performance (The report)
- The projections
Terms and Conditions
- The participants will be required to complete various questionnaires throughout the pilot study duration.
- BlueTickr will issue a comprehensive consent form with all the guidelines and terms and conditions.
- The participants must use BlueTickr for a minimum of 30 minutes per day and/or a minimum of 3 hours per week.
- The participants must complete all prescribed tasks and the learners must complete at least 5 homework questions per week.
- BlueTickr will provide all participating learners with free data (1 GB data for their mobile phones).
